Our Moke Checka

Martin, Mitchell and Shane Johnsen.

We found checka about 2 years ago. I have always wanted to own a mini moke and not being able to afford American Convertible, I looked around for a mini moke instead.

I found a man in Gympie (Qld) that owned checka and was selling it in the trading post. After a few phone calls, I decided to purchase checka, sight unseen. To our disappointment it was far from road worthy when in arrived. The next couple of months it was transported backwards and forwards to the man who wrote the road worthy cert until it was fixed properly. After doing a few modifications and alterations to Checka it has become a new member of our family, and is a great little car to drive around town and on the beach.

Checka is painted in Monza red and has a 998cc engine with extractors, 13 inch wheels with a red fiberglass roof. Checka is a great addition to our family and hope to have for many years to come.
