IMD-Flag-UKThis s year looks like the first time the birthplace of the Moke will be holding events for International Moke Day with a number of events being cited on the UK Club Forum. Thanks to the efforts of Roger, Dean, Tim and Stephen the event seems to be getting support in the UK which is great to hear. More details here. From what I have been told there are three events planned so far, North West England (Nr Preston) and Central Southern England (Nr Newbury) and Jersey Channel island with firm details.

South Central Region

South Central Region will have a lunchtime Pub Meet at the Ship Inn near Newbury. Plan is to arrive anytime after 12:00, sit down for a meal at about 1:00 and then take a leisurely afternoon drive together before heading off home late afternoon. Destination and duration of the run will depend on the weather.

Just for clarification, I emphasise that, as with all South Central events, ALL MOKERS FROM ALL REGIONS ARE WELCOME.

The venue is:
The Ship Inn
Ashford Hill
Thatcham
Berks
RG19 8BD

Those who attended the Easter Eggstavaganza here will know that the meals are excellent, both for quality and quantity, and that John Lewis, the landlord, is a Club member and active Moker.

Booking is not essential but it would be helpful if you could let us know who will be attending so that sufficient dining space can be reserved.
