| Craig, aka Mr Spotlights has put together a report with photos and a couple of videos of the North Coast IMD from his Moke for the day. |

Ok this story starts with ....... Two Little Pigs went out one day, over the hill and far away....
We met up at 6:30am On Saturday

We met up with CQ Peter (Blue Moke with Blue Hood), Chippy Dave (Orange Moke) and Queeenslands own Mr Miyagi Graham (Blue Mini Van). After a few running repairs and all vehicles had Miyagi's karate chop of approval we set off for Chinderah
After arriving at Chinderah our numbers increased dramatically. There we jumped to 13 (12 Mokes and a mini van). We had the additions of Marty (red little wheeler), Andy (blue custom ute), Rob Turbo Tiger x 2 (green Rosie and orange Turbo Tiger), Dave from Lismore (maroon Moke), Clockwork Orange (metallic orange Moke), Moke Dean (green 80 cali) and Joe from Byron Bay (yellow Moke with blue hood). We took a few photos as we filled an entire B-Double bay at the Service Centre. An amateur photographer stopped and took some photos which hopefully she will email us.

We then set off for our tour of the NSW North Coast.
First off Brunswick Heads then to the Byron Bay Lighthouse where we did a loop before heading down to Watego Beach (someone correct me if I got the order wrong as I was having so much fun I may have mixed them up)

We then hit Lenox Heads where we snuck up on the dunes for a quick photo shoot.

We stopped and had a break and lost CQ, Marty & Joe however we picked up Paul aka Budge (green Moke). I believe we did a quick coastal road tour before heading back in to Ballina where we made sure we grabbed some quick photos with the big prawn before the council knocks it down.

From there we headed to Lismore, grabbed some supplies then invaded Rob Turbo Tiger's house for the evening.
So once we arrived at Rob's house on Saturday afternoon we quickly filled his yard with Mokes. We began sorting out swags, tents & beds before settling down for a great BBQ dinner. I set up my laptop and showed some of the photos from the day as a slide show whilst people ate and talked Mokes. I also showed photos from Mokefest 2009 and The Moke Muster 2006. After the great BBQ dinner we all settled in and watched Mokefest The Movie. Later in the evening we were honored with the presence of The Amazing Dave and his Magic tricks which astounded one and all. The evening was getting late and the beer was running out so we all set down for the night.
The Sunday morning began at about 6am for most as heads popped under bonnets for Miyagi's fine tuning session.

We thanked our hosts Rob, Carol & Rosana then set off to downtown Lismore so we could meet up with a TV news crew who Rob had arranged to do a story on the event.

After the film shoot we took off back to Rob's house so he could drop off the tiger and we all then set off to Nimbin.
About 40mins later we arrived at Nimbin Rocks just outside Nimbin and took some photos despite the very badly placed power pole.

We headed in to town where we were told you cant walk the main street without getting offered drugs, and they were right. Everyone that went for a walk to the public toilets got at least one offer except off course Brad (TLP) because he looked too much like a Narc (narcotics agent).
We enjoyed some sweets and drinks with some of us doing some "Nimbin Shopping" (relax I just meant handcrafted gear). Rob had to head back to take Rosana to work and Dave from Lismore stayed to catch up with friends at the pub so the rest of us took off then for the scenic route to Murwillumbah. At the turn off we lost Andy & Paul (Budge) who headed back home leaving Chippy Dave, Brad, Dean, Peter, Miyagi & myself.
I took some quick videos as we did our run back to QLD......

It was a fantastic weekend and I am sure there was plenty I missed mentioning.
A big thank you to Rob, Carol & Rosana for putting up with so many Mokers Saturday night, their hospitality was greatly appreciated.
Thank you also to Rob, Andy & Brad for their planning of IMD.
Thank you as well to Mr Miyagi aka Graham for his expertise and mechanical support
Thank you to all that attended it
