Icons Trip 2011

Outback Icons Tour of 2011 was a magnificent journey completed by 7 Mokes, 8 friends and 2 dogs. We  were off on another great outback adventure, such anticipation, we were still packing the mokes, yes of course we took 2 as usual when Dave arrived from Adelaide in his moke, a quick oil change and a check of wheel bearings for him.

Packing Wheel Bearings

A quick guide on a easy and proven method on repacking Wheel bearings. Can be used for Taper and straight but doesn't work if bearings are sealed.

LeftHand Drive Moke in Australian Bush

Another interesting Moke we came across on the Outback Icons Touur in 2011 was this Australian built, and it would appear registered, Moke that is factory left hand drive. Many factory lefthand drive Mokes were produced in Australia but not too many stayed.

BMW Hahn Moke

After leaving Bridsville and heading east on the 2011 Outback Icons trip we came across this 'BMW Moke' heading the other way as part of a World Record Attempt to pedal an electric bike, which is a contradiction, the 1600km to Birdsville.
