[FIRSTNAME]

Welcome to the February edition of the MokeFest updates. Do not worry, you have not missed the January one, I just never managed to get around to sending it out, so this issue has lots of things for you know and do as we approach MokeFest.

As always the Website has a lot more information than I can fit into the newsletters and if you have not checked it out lately, I suggest you do take a look.

Are you still coming to MokeFest?
If you are receiving this email we are assuming you are still planning to attend MokeFest. However people's circumstances do change, so if you are no longer able to attend, please drop us an email so we can update our records.

If you cannot confirm at this stage, you can register closer to the start date, however you will miss out on being able to book for the evening meals and pre order merchandise.

The number of Mokes attending is still hovering around the 100 mark, so if you are coming along expecting the 160 mokes we saw in 2006, unfortunately you will be disappointed. For people coming from far away, this may be a deciding factor.

Merchandise
Everyone should have received a seperate email showing the Merchadise Catalogue of items you can order before you get to MokeFest. Please have a look and promptly return the form via email or post to products@mokefest.com.au. or to Postal Address on Order Form. There is a link to download the order form(s).

Due to the lateness of me getting this newsletter out, if you would like to order any of the shirts or grille badge please return your completed form a.s.a.p. as I need to place the final order in early March..

Book your place on Friday and Sunday night at the Hall.
The Friday night and Saturday night meals/dinners at the PCYC Hall need to pre booked for catering purposes so if you want to attend, please, use the merchandise form to indicate how many people and which meals you wish to attend..

Self Determined Registrastion Fee

Also on the Merchandise form is a space for you to nominate the Self Determined Registration Fee you would like to pay, for what you think MokeFest is worth to you. If you are not ordering anything, you can just send an email to terry@mokefest.com.au with your nominated SDRF.

Public Liability Insurance
The Public Liability Insurance is something we cannot avoid these days, and MokeFest is no exception. This is a mandatory cost that we have to charge to all registrations, however, we have been able to limit it to $10 per registration. Please take this into consideration when you are forming your Self Determined Registration Form as Public Liability Insurance is a seperate item.

Time to send the Invoices
Once we have all the above information from you, we can then send you out the Invoices and start asking for money. Payment methods available are by Cheque or Direct Deposit into the MokeFest Bank account.

When you do receive your invoice, please review it closely, as it is possible mistakes may occur in the processing of your items, and it is better to pick them up early. Do not be shy about sending an email or making a phone call to me if you have any questions at all.

Need some last minutes spares or a service for your Moke?

ImageLink Automotive are providing a special MokeFest price on parts and servicing for people going to MokeFest so if you need some spares for the trip or a want to have your Moke checked over then please give them a call at Link Automotive.03 98733874

Accomodation
The Wagga Beach Caravan Park is holding their remaining bookings for MokeFest people only, so if you call them for a powered or non-powered site, make sure you mention you are with MokeFest, otherwise you will be told they are booked out. If you are already booked in with a powered site or Cabin, please give them a call or drop them an email to confim you are still attending.

The feedback I am getting, is that the Motel accomodation is becoming more scarce, so if you have not booked it is time to start now. Call the Wagga Tourism office for assistance if you prefer to.

The Planes and the Winery
Just need a show of hands for a couple of activities to help with planning and bookings so please send me email or call to let me know which you would like to attend.

Thursday evening the Wagga Winery will open for a group of 20 or more people in their very nice resteaurant on the property. The main meals cost around $25.00 and a bottle of wine $18.

Temora Aviation Museum is now flying the warbirds on the Easter weekend so I am organising a trip out there on the Saturday morning, however they are planning to make it a big weekend so parking could be a problem. If we can get a decent show of hands I can probably organise to get something special for the Mokes to help them with making it a bigger weekend and we get reserved parking.

Discounted GoKarts
Rev Arena GoKarts are also providing discounted vouchers for MokeFest people to have a couple of sessions. on their very good set up. It is 5 minutes from Moke Central. I am a bit of connoisseur of hire karts and I can say this is a very interesting and challenging Track, quick karts and a very professionally run operation that really does discourage the knuckle draggers and stupid people.

Forms for Rod and Faye
If you have not completed the forms sent out by Rod and Faye then please do so a.s.a.p. The most important information is the names of the people attending, Moke rego details and where you are staying. With the schedule/programme changing almost daily the form is already out of date, however if there is something you specifically want to see, then please indicate so.

Wagga Toruism Office
You will be receiving an information pack from the Wagga Tourism Office by Aust. Post about the attractions and activities you can see and do in Wagga.

Transporting Mokes
If would like to have your Moke transported to Wagga from Melbourne then please call Andrew as he is organising a truck and trailer and has a couple of spare spaces. Andrew 0418 577 147.

If you are driving a boring car down to Wagga but would rather drive a Moke around while there then call Rob as he has his second Moke on trailer he would like towed to Wagga in return for use of his Moke over the weekend. It is in the northern NSW coast area. Send me an email for contact details.

The Gold Coin Raffles

In the growing financial squeeze gaining sponsorship to cover the bills for MokeFest has proved very difficult, however the businesses you see listed here have all generously provided services and or donated goods to be sold or used in raffles to help raise the funds needed.
Through out MokeFest you will see quite a number of raffles or auctions happening that for the loose change in your pocket can see you in the draw for some nice goodies. The gold coin raffles are $1 tickets for being in the draw for the nominated good and the number of tickets is limited to 100 or less. Prizes will be drawn over the weekend and on Sunday night.

If you have contacts or are able to provide items for the raffles or door prizes etc then please send me an email and let me know what you can offer.

Sunday's un-official Street Parade.
At about 1:30pm there will be an un-official drive down the Main streets of Wagga to the Railway station where we will turn around and then return to Moke Central coming up the other way on the main street. This will allow everybody to see everybody else in the Parade so have your camera's ready. Over the course of the weekend there may be a few smaller cruises down the main st, however all drives are following normal road rules, there are no road closures or police assistance.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at MokeFest 2009,
Terry
