There is a reward of $5000 AUD for information leading to the safe return of this Moke. It is a 1980 model which was stolen from Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast during the early hours of Tuesday 14th August. We brought this Moke over to Australia from England for a six week holiday to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We used it for two weeks and then someone decided to steal it !! This Moke is a little bit different because it runs on LPG, the petrol tank is located on the drivers side, it is fitted with a 1275cc engine which is painted green, it has a stainless steel exhaust system, 3 branch manifold system and the gearstick has been taken off a Rover Cooper so that it comes out of the floor next to the handbrake. As you can see from the photographs it has new Minilite wheels and a small green petrol can on the rear. The two seats, white with red piping, are from a Portugese Moke along with the front quarterlights where the three fixing screws that go through the bodywork are on the inside of the Moke and not on the outside like the Australian ones have (See photograph). The speedometre housing has got an oil pressure guage and a water temperature guage. On the rear of the hood the second lift-dot has got a small cut above it (See photograph). If you look at the photograph of the new front panel lying on its side, you can see that I have put extra strengthening pieces in it. The Moke is fitted with the same. Also if you look at the photograph of the underside you can see where I have modified the floor to fit the petrol tank on the right-hand side. Please could everyone keep a lookout for this vehicle and I would be very pleased to hear from which parts of the country this is being done from. It needs to be remembered that its appearance could be changed, eg: the underside could be undersealed, bumpers, seats and wheels changed or parts could be offered for sale from it if it is broken up.
