Build Details
The first area of the form covers information normally found on either the Australian Design Rules Compliance plate or the Manufacturers plate prior to 1970-7, mounted on the firewall in the engine bay.

If your Moke doesn't have a plate then the body number can be found on the metal part of the radiator shroud between the radiator and the edge of the engine bay. The engine number is normally stamped into engine block underneath number 1 spark plug which is at the radiator end.

From the factory, clolour stickers were either on the firewall or again on the radiator shroud near the engine number. As the register grows the number of known colours will also expand so add to Notes is it is not listed.

Production Features
The growing list of production features are being collected to help identify when minor changes were being made to the Moke design over the years.

Removable Grille - The factory removable grille started appearing around 1976 and continued until the end of Australian production. The best to identify a factory removable grille is the mounts on the body. They are simply extensions of the c channel the ran through the earlier grille with square holes and plastic fittings for the screws to hold into.

Air Cleaner Recess - First appearing in the Export Mokes in 1971 to accommodate the larger air cleaner on the HS4 carburettor fitted to the 1275. Later on it started appearing in the 1100 engines also fitted with the HS4 until it became standard.

Rear Light Recess - Around 1977 the square Hella light was introduced and to make it fit flush the rear guard extension was 'squashed' to give it a little more room. Earlier Mokes the extension has a very straight clean line.

Factory Fitted Rollbar - On the only known factory 'rollbar' or its official title of Seatbelt mount was fitted on the galvanised Mokes from 1980 onwards when inertia reel seatbelts were also fitted. Although the roll bar may no longer be n the Moke evidence can be found in the way of 3 holes drilled in a triangle on top of the side box just behind the front seats.

Factory Fitted Tray - Pretty obvious if you have one these gitted, it is big, heavy and over hags the back of the Moke by about 3 feet.

Fuel Filler - fairly obvious but each variation can help verify the date of manufacture.

Bumper Mounts - On earlier Mokes the bumper comes out through the front grille panel while on later they are mounted to the underside of the subframe and come out below the front panel. Rear they are mounted directly to the underneath side of the body or have extra brackets that drop them down a bit. Californian bumpers can in either variation and is the name given to the non-straight pipe bumpers most common on earlier Mokes.
