The Firewall Depression

To accomodate the larger air cleaner the Firewall was modified in 1976

During 1976 the moke started using the larger diameter air cleaners that fitted the 1.5" carbys and this caused the firewall to be modified but placing a 'depression' in the firewall just above the bulkhead to provide the required clearnace. You can see whether your Moke has the depression simply by looking at the firewall when you next have the bonnet up.
