Who says the weather in Melbourne is crap?
God must own a Moke, because he turned on a perfect day for us. The foreacast was for 7-20 with a few clouds. I left home in a longsleeve shirt, Parka, warm hat and gloves (top down of course). By the time I got to the city limits I was cooking. It was about 25 and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The biggest hazzard of the day was sunburn.
I met the Bellarine/Geelong mob at Werribee and we cruised in convoy at about 90kmh into the city without incident. Plenty of "hthumbs up" from other motorists though.
In the seedy backblocks of docklands we met up with the Eastern Suburbs crew and despite the best efforts of the traffic lights, we managed to keep all the Mokes together for the final convoy into the designated display area.
The location was great and the passers-by were positive about the Mokes for the most part.
I counted 24 Mokes in attendance. I heard of two that "failed to proceed" on the day.
Going home I cruised with Sus and Watto, but somehow we lost Watto on the way. I wished I could have kept going to Geelong but I promosed the boss I'd be home by 4pm.
Cheers,
Brett and Mopoke.
