I was hoping they would do something more constructive with the Moke rather than wreck it.
I wanted to see a segment 'Aussie bloke in a Moke' and get the guests to have a crack at
a motokhana course or something ;D

We missed taping the start of the show so I hope we didn't miss the moke drop.

Hi,

Warren Brown has a very nicely restored 1920's fire engine, perhaps we could go fill it up with salt water and drive it off a cliff and send in a copy of the video with "How entertaining is this ?" :)

Smoken, all in the name of research. If it is too badly damaged I'll have to rethink my plans
to jump a moke over some double decker buses, by the way how are the mods going on middie,
will it be ready for the big jump  ;D

These guys are just destructive and they have very little respect for our Marque  >:(

I know many of you are no longer watching, but just so you know, they trashed a Mini panelvan tonight (along with a Statesman).

The challenge was supposedlyto build an armoured vehicle to convey a VIP.

After the modifications (missed that bit, but nothing too serious or effective), the first two tests were to have blokes with clubs etc bash the cr@p out of the vehicles. Final test was to put them on a firing range and see how well the windows, lights and armour plating (which consisted of perspex, aluminium chequerplate and corrugated iron) stood up to 30-30 bullets at 50 yards  ::). In other words, an excuse to blow holes through them evrywhere and blow out the windows.

The most annoying part of their challenges is that there is NO POINT  >:(. Whereas the UK guys often think up interesting challenges that take a lot of thought, these guys just want to wreck stuff for no reason. ???

Ditto from me >:(, When they brought out the kombi I was about to throw my stubbie at the screen, at least they didn't trash it!

They just lost a viewer (hoping some sanity would prevail....nope)

It looks like it is not only SBS but bloody ABC are destoying Mokes now.
Tonight they have just drven a red hard top off the top of a cliff.  We now have to wait until next week to see if it was a carefully done stunt or whether they just trashed a good Moke.  It was the climax for the end of teh show and happend to quick to see if it was cut out at the end.  But will have to check it out next week and see how much damage they have done.

We might have to put a ban on ABC as well as SBS.

Cheers

Dev

i was watching as well dev, and i dont think they trashed it. i come to this conclusion for a few reasons one being it looks like they have done it up from how it appeared in the first season. also from replaying the cliff season over and over i reacon it looks like it is just either going backwards fast over a small jump/or hill. my other theory is that they may have filmed it coming up over a small hill and then just edited the film in going backward (in rewind) in the final scene

DYNKY- the still traumatised but hopeful as we didnt see it being dropped over the cliff
See you round the tracks :)

well maybe ??? we can use this to promote the moke???? Maybe we should do a protest to sbs with mokes on convoy arriving at their studios , What do you all think at least we can get some coverage for mokes  one and all?????                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          save our mokes save our mokes

I think the biggest problem with causing a fuss is that the Aussie Top Gear guys will use it as a laugh, like the fun they poke at the Mini Anglia ??? owners groups over in the UK.

Ie, the more they protest, the more cars they crush!
