Terry,
Was just wandering how things were travelling mug wise?
I'm still keen to getting a mug (or 4) with my moke on it and there are probably others that may have been curious as to the progress of these bad boys.

Samm,

I had just finished a few hours of working on them when I read your post and yes they are coming but i am not sure about the results or the issue of postage yet so needs a bit more thinking/playing involved.

I actually looked at your picture a few hours ago as with the Trailer, which is an integral part of your image, it is going to be tricky to fit on the basic layout I am using.

Hopefully soon.

Terry, if it helps, I recently purchased a number of mugs from Byron Bay, and they were all shipped to me via australia post. They were wrapped in bubble wrap, then each in their individual box - no fractures!

Terry,
Great minds think alike... or its coincidence... either one.

Even if you cropped the trailer out of a couple for the generic sort of layout you are doing (?just moke and logo?) and possible having one on a mug without the Mokefest logo or a small one logo? I dont know how you are doing things so dont want to sounds pushy or clueless about how hard things are. I'm keen on two with my moke and Mokefest logo (if you can swing it with the trailer thats a bonus) and one with the moke + trailer. If i need to order a few more to make it more worth your while ill certainly consider it :) i have a few peoples birthdays coming up  :D

I have bought a couple of mugs offline etc and had them posted to me and they came just wrapped in bubble wrap in a individual box and were fine.

Thanks
Samm

I remember Terry asking for ideas/thoughts a while ago.  Being a bit slow .... :'(.....is it too late to say Id suggest  some sub titles with names/forum names when showing people talking or similar.  Not all of course  (like when driving by or in groups) but some - help us oldies to keep sorted who was who.   ;D

Hi,

I hope to receive a preview of the Movie this week but I have been warned it has a few more tweaks required so it will be soon'ish. Probably save a bit on postage and package it all up together for those who ordered other things.

Smoken,

I hope to have an order section on the new website but at the moment I am just trying to get the process sorted with about the 20 orders i already have and then once they are out of the way then I will be opening it up for others.

I have managed to do about 5 designs today with an average of about 1 hour per car as some just extract easy how they should and for others I just give up and chuck it all away to do again later. The effort is in getting the design and the cost is really in all the equipment so a couple of people have offered to do their own artwork which I will probably go with as it will make it a lot less time consuming for me.

Looks good Terry. If you can put up the dimensions you require for the mug and stubby holder I can finalise the artwork for Middie. No hurry, just when you finally dig yourself out of the pile of work you are suffocating under. :D :D

Wiz,

I start with the image and extract it. I then crop it to just outside the Moke and then save it in whatever size the photo is so i can use it later on with out having to resize it larger and lose definition. For the mugs it then gets altered to 200ppi and then resized to 10cm. For the mouse mat the image of the Moke is 200ppi and 20cm wide.

If you want to send me the images from that point it would make things easier.

From there I apply a special profile for the printing equipment and duplicate it into the 'templates'.

If you want to do your own full Mug image the canvas size is 21.01 x 9.91 at 200ppi with a 5mm 'bleed'(white spaces in from the top and the bottom because of the curve of the Mug) while the left and right can go to the edge of the page.

Mouse Mat is w24.4cm x h20.5cm and the stubby holder is w21.4cm x h11.5cm and no bleed is necessary but looks better to have white around the edges where possible.

By the time I catch up and consider MokeFest 2009 finished it will be time to start organising the next one. :)
