Is there anything organised here for international moke day on 21st sept in WA?  Sept 19th is 'International talk like a pirate day' - maybe a combo of pirates driving mokes could work!
Not sure about the 21st Sept, maybe we should just organize something :-\
Have a look at www.sdminiclub.org.au for some owners of Mokes around Perth.

hi guys!

i'm new to the forum... My dad has had his 1981 californian  for as long as i can remember, but in the next couple of weeks i'll be getting my P's so it will be getting a lot of action this summer!!

its a 1275 engine in good condition, white paint (but needs a respray), galv body, discs at the front... i'll put some pics up soon!

BUT i need a water pump because in the last few weeks the bearing in the current one has given up (most likely through lack of use) and it's started leaking... anyone know where i can get one?

cheers
1981 Californian

Your local Repco, Burson's or even Supercheap should be able to get one for you.

G"day Adrian,

And a big welcome on board.
The closest place I could recommend to you for your water pump is Mini Sport in South Aus,have a look at there shop on line.
Unless some one else has any better ideas! Maddog will probably be the man to talk to regarding parts in the west!
Try and get some pics of your Moke up if you can,and yes I agree a P plater in a Moke lets hope you get plenty of action this summer! ;)

Adrian,

Try
Minicraft
47 Irvine St
Bayswater   W.A.   6053

Might be a good idea to make a personal visit and get friendly with them so they can look after you in the future. I am told he has good customer service and is very knowledgable.

Terry

Hi Adrian,

Welcome. Great to have another WA member, most of the old guys on here go to bed at 6 or 7 in the evenings ;) Look forward to the photos of your Moke! Where abouts are you?

Minicraft is the place to go in Perth, but as I'm about 3 hours from there, I get all my parts online. Minisport has a great website (http://www.minisport.com.au/index.htm) and Classic Motoring has lots of small bits the others don't (http://classicmotoring.net.au/cmos/). Excellent service from both.

When you get a water pump, can I suggest you get the bypass hose as well - they tend to get forgotten because you can't see them. If you don't have a bypass, make sure you get a pump that has it blocked off.

Cheers, Maddog.

Fortunately you used the word most as very rarely is their anyone still on when I go too bed :) You are obviously referring to all them other 'old' people. :)

Hi all
I am new to this site. and have just purchased my first road-worthy Moke.
Have owned a "donor" for about three years, but never got around to even starting a build.
Got the opportunity to purchase a nearly completed '72, so I am rooly happy.
Will be pleased for my name to be added to a list of potential members for a WA Moke Group.
